Exceeding Power fights back again finishing 2nd last night in a competitive 0-85 handicap over 1m3f. A good tactical ride from George Wood making most till headed final strides, beaten a neck! Exceeding Power was carrying top weight, giving the winner a huge 21lb. Well done Team
Exceeding Power (red/gold) - what a Superstar!
Champion Chase who ran Tuesday at Southwell finished 3rd in a handicap chase. Ground was reported as soft, good to soft by officials but was more like glue, tackier than ideal.... wet, sloppy ground is preferred by Champion Chase! Although the run was not as pleasing as last time it was a satisfactory run to finish 3rd with stamina stretched on unforgiving ground.
Nawar who ran at Kempton last night was unfortunately drawn wide and at the start of the race broke very fast sitting in first three. From then he didn’t settle doing too much with the choke out for the next 3 furlongs ....he could give no more in the final furlong. A race to put behind us! Back to Lingfield where he won two runs ago.
