Nawar - showing plenty of ability Nawar is now having a short holiday after a good run (6th) at Lingfield over 1m2f. Although too far back in the race he made good headway in the final two furlongs. Looking forward to seeing him on the turf in April.

Nawar too far back here ( yellow/black) but ran on to finish 6th

Love My Life - Improving

Love My Life, a lovely tall 3yr filly by Ivawood arrived with us three weeks ago. We ran her Friday at Lingfield over 1m finishing 2nd in a 0-60 handicap. This was a much improved run having finished well behind in her previous races over varying distances from 6f to 1m. Confidently ridden by Luke Morris who had to give her all the assistance with her being so babyish. She showed honesty, ability, stamina and a will to win! All connections were delighted with her run.

Exceeding Power (red/gold) in 2nd in the finish

Exceeding Power now 9yrs ran another gallant race yesterday at Lingfield finishing 5th, beaten just 3 1/2 lengths. It was a hot contest (81-95) over 1m 4f with each horse in the race having a chance of winning! We sat handy throughout and turning into the home straight with one and a half furlongs to run we went into a fighting second but the early slow pace didn’t help our cause and the younger horses found a little more speed inside the final furlong pushing us back to fifth. A good run by Exceeding Power.

Catheadans Fury - needs it to go her way but when it does no-one is tougher in the finish!

Catheadans Fury also ran yesterday a disappointing 8th. Again at Lingfield she had the worst draw 7! So difficult to get cover, tucked in behind horses from that draw. Ending up on the wing she ran too free for three furlongs, using up any energy left for the finish. With no suitable races at Chelmsford or Kempton we had to go to keep the ‘lid’ on her. Back to the drawing board.
