Martin Bosley - Trainer
After riding over 100 winners as a jump jockey for prolific trainers, including Henrietta Knight and the late Captain Tim Forster, Martin has gained a lifetime experience and knowledge of horsemanship. In 1997 he retired from the saddle to take over training from his well respected father John Bosley .

John Bosley trained successfully for 42 years under both codes, producing good horses such as Corn Street, Pusey Street and Bridge Street Lady on the flat and Eyecatcher who was 3rd in the 1976 and 1977 Grand National's.
Martin has produced and revitalised some remarkable performers such as Makarim, Rubhahunish, Sabadilla, Townley Hall, Quiet Reading, Silver Prophet and more recently Dizzy Future and Boldinor.
Continuing to ride out daily, Martin is "hands on" with all the horses in his care ensuring he is familiar with each individual's character and ability. He is renowned for his patience, attention to detail and selective race planning for each individual horse.
With regard to hobbies Martin enjoys all sports from golf, tennis, football, cricket, rugby to car racing.

Jockeys currently riding out (schooling & work riding) for us as follows:-
George Baker, Anthony Freeman, Will Kennedy and Dale Peters.

Dale and Zac in training!
Dale Peters - amateur flat/national hunt jockey. Now riding work and schooling weekly for us, shortly to have his first ride over hurdles for us. Dale is a very talented young rider who has now ridden 2 winners from 23 rides. When Dale was at school he rode out for us on a regular basis and during that period he was scouted by Ipswich United football team (Youth) and played for them in 2005. Other sports he participates in are tennis, running and golf. Goal for this year is to have a winner under rules.
Kirsten Smith has a very important role with us organising all the racing tack - from the owners colours, racing tack and attending to medicals. Kirsten has been on work experience with us since she was eight years of age so she knows our system well! She has ridden in 3 pony races and gained further experience riding arab racing ponies in 2008. Whilst at school she represented her county in lacros and and competed in the South West of England swimming finals. Goal for this year is to ride on the flat as an amateur jockey.
Zac Baker hopes to be a jump jockey in the near future. The brother of George Baker, a leading flat jockey who has ridden numerous winners for the stable. Zac is still at school but spends every weekend, one evening stables a week and all holidays assisting us. Since moving to Bowstridge Farm, Zac has become a very polished work rider with plans to ride in his first Point to Point in 2010. Zac has been able to ride a finish on Muppet since he was 13 (the mechanical stable equisizer) as well as any licensed jockey!
Michelle Smith has been with us voluntarily for nine years on her days off as an entrepreneur. She has been a valuable member of the team assisting us as a work rider, groom, driver and admin assistant.
Andy Thorpe has designed and operates the office software for the team, which has minimised the workload and ensuring a smooth, efficient running of the stable and office operations.
